After a remarkable 40 years’ service, Alison Sommerville, clinical quality co-ordinator for complaints, retired in March.
Alison, who was a member of the corporate complaints team at Kirklands Headquarters, Bothwell, joined NHS Lanarkshire in January 1981 and has spent the majority of her career in a risk/Datix/complaints role.
In 2011, Alison joined the corporate complaints team at Kirklands Headquarters where she remained until her retirement.
Kevin Rooney, programme manager for complaints, said: “Alison is one of life’s gems. She is always happy to help. After 40 years’ service, Alison has become hugely knowledgeable of the services across Lanarkshire.
“We will all miss her cheery smile and wish her a long, healthy and happy retirement.”
