Having an injection
You may need to have an injection before you go on holiday, to stop you becoming ill or to cure an illness.

The Nurse or Doctor will ask your name.
Tell the nurse if you have any allergies.

You should tell them if you are worried.

You can have an injection in your arm, leg or bottom.

The Nurse or Doctor will put the medicine in the syringe.

They will tell you what they are doing.
They will clean your arm before giving you the injection.
The injection might be sore.

You may need to have a plaster put on after your injection.
