Having an Ultrasound scan

Ultrasound Scans let us take moving pictures of the inside of your body and bones.

You need to tell the receptionist your name and give them your referral form.

You may need to sit in the waiting room until staff call out your name.

For some tests you may need to put on a hospital gown.

The Doctor or radiographer will tell you what they are going to do.

You will need to lie down.
They will put gel on the part of your body they want to take a moving picture of.
The gel might feel cold.
