Registration for this year’s Move More, Feel Better Commonwealth Challenge is closing soon – don’t miss your chance to take part.
The challenge begins on Thursday 23 July and runs until Thursday 20 August, giving colleagues across NHS Lanarkshire four weeks to move more, connect with others and support their physical and mental wellbeing.
You can register as an individual or create or join a team of up to 10 colleagues. You don’t need to be particularly sporty or have a certain level of fitness to participate. The challenge is designed to be flexible and inclusive, allowing everyone to take part in a way that works for them.
More than 50 different activities can be converted into steps, so it is not just walking that counts. Whether you enjoy cycling, swimming, dancing, gardening or another form of movement, your activity can help Team Lanarkshire progress through the virtual challenge.
Lesley Mackay, from Staff Health and Wellbeing, said: “The Commonwealth Challenge is a great opportunity to have some fun, connect with colleagues and add a little more movement to your day. Every activity counts, regardless of your fitness level, so please sign up before registration closes and join Team Lanarkshire.”
You can record your activity using the Big Team Challenge website or app and keep track of your individual and team progress throughout the four weeks.
With registration closing shortly, now is the time to speak to your colleagues, choose a team name and sign up. You can also register individually and find a team to join.
