Reduction in working week – drop in sessions/Q&A via Microsoft Teams

Mar 4, 2026

From 1 April, Agenda for Change staff will move from a 37 to 36‑hour working week, with part‑time hours adjusted pro rata. Managers should have agreed revised working patterns with their staff, ensuring service needs and work–life balance are supported. The one‑hour reduction cannot be converted to annual leave but may be taken back on a mutually agreed, pre‑planned basis.

Drop in sessions are running throughout March so book onto one today via LearnPro Booking with details below.

System updates to eESS, ePayroll and SSTS will occur between 26 March and 1 April during which systems will be unavailable. SSTS rosters must be amended to reflect 36 hours (or pro rata) from 30 March.

eESS transactions require review, particularly pending approvals, post 1 April changes and cases where part‑time staff retain existing hours.

Areas using eRostering must review net hours, annual leave, patterns and templates before 1 April.

Annual leave entitlements must be recalculated based on revised hours for 2026/2027 onwards.
