There is not much more time for health and social care staff to get their flu vaccination before Xmas to protect themselves and those around them including patients and their families.
The flu vaccine is offered every year to provide the best possible protection against the virus which can change from year to year.
Most people who get flu will recover in a few days to less than two weeks, but some people will develop complications which can be life-threatening and result in death
There are a number of options for getting your flu vaccination including drop-in clinics at our vaccination clinics every weekday, booking an appointment and occupational health is still offering on site vaccinations.

Anyone who wishes to get their Covid 19 vaccination can also get it along with their flu vaccine.
