Martin Hill, Chair of NHS Lanarkshire said: “This week’s annual review was a valuable opportunity for the public to learn more about NHS Lanarkshire’s significant accomplishments during 2024/25. Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate.
“The review provided insights into current topics and issues, spotlighting key projects like the work of the Flow Navigation Centre Plus and an update on the Monklands Replacement Project.
“The presentation showcased a variety of key initiatives and developments from the past year. It also outlined the challenges that patients and staff still face, while recognising the improvement plans for the future.
“Particular attention was given to some of the positive outcomes we have delivered across the entire health and care system in Lanarkshire.
“Among the new developments that have come to fruition include the new Chryston Community Hub and opening of the Briar Centre which earlier this year received the royal seal of approval from HRH Princess Anne.
“Members of the public actively engaged in the session, contributing questions on various topics such as primary care services in Clydesdale, access to translation services, in particular the British sign language, and access to chronic pain management services.
Louise Long, Chief Executive added: “During the annual review we highlighted the progress we have made across a number of our services including some improvements in waiting times in acute services, with more improvement still to come.
“We also offered an update on our culture programme which will put our values at the heart of everything we do.
“We recognise that we still have challenges ahead. However, by building on the improvements we have made in 2024/25 and working with our strategic partners including North and South Lanarkshire Councils and Universities across the West of cotland, our vision is to enable healthier, longer lives for the local population.
“We can achieve this by delivering compassionate, innovative, sustainable and high-quality health care services that empower people and reduce inequalities.”
