Waiting list validation
Are you currently on a patient waiting list?
NHS Scotland is using a new text message service to ensure some of our patient waiting lists are up to date and that patients still need their appointments.
Patients who are on a waiting list for public dental services, new routine ultrasound scans or new routine MRIs will receive a text message from the NHS Scotland National Elective Coordination Unit (NECU) on mobile number 07860 039092 with a link to answer a couple of questions that will allow us to update our records.
From 11 October, this text message service is being extended to include patients on a waiting list for the following services:
- Cardiology
- Gastroenterology
- Neurology
- Respiratory
- Rheumatology
- Orthopaedics
- Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Paediatrics
- Oral Maxillofacial Surgery
- Gynaecology
From 5 October, this text message service included patients on a waiting list for the following services:
- General Surgery Outpatient & Inpatient/Day Case
- General Surgery Upper Gastrointestinal
- Colorectal Surgery
- Colorectal Incontinence
- Endoscopy
- Gynaecology
- ENT Paediatrics Outpatients & Inpatients/Day Case
- Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Inpatient
- Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Paediatric Inpatient
- Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Local Anaesthetic
- Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Local Anaesthetic Paediatric
