Useful Information
Appointment dates and times are now being issued to residents across Lanarkshire as we gear up for the start of this year’s Winter vaccination programme.
The programme will offer the Flu and Covid booster to those who are eligible for either, or both.

All vaccinations are now provided by NHS Lanarkshire’s vaccination service – with the exception of travel vaccinations which are delivered by certain community pharmacies.
Since 1 April 2022, GP practices no longer have responsibility for providing vaccinations. Please do not contact your GP practice about vaccinations.
The vaccination service provides a range of vaccines from centres that were set up to deliver the covid-19 vaccine. The winter programme will be deliver at our three main sites which will provide vaccinations every day are:
- Braidfute Retail Park, Ladyacre Road, Lanark, ML11 7LQ
- Eddlewood Public Hall, Birkhall Road, Hamilton, ML3 8BG
- Muirhead Clinic, 192 Cumbernauld Rd, Chryston, Glasgow G69 9NB
There will be a number of other sites which we will utilise when they are available. These will be supported by a range of local ‘pop up’ clinics and, for our older adults (75 plus), appointments will be offer with a local pharmacy.
Who is eligible for the Booster
Covid vaccine
The groups below are eligible for COVID-19 vaccines this winter:
- Residents in care homes for older adults
- Adults aged 75 years and over
- 6 months – 64 at COVID clinical risk
Flu vaccine only
The groups below are eligible for Flu vaccines this winter
- 18-64 years with an eligible flu-only clinical risk condition
- Adults aged 65 years to 74 years
- All Healthcare workers
- All Social Care worker
