North Lanarkshire residents can still make their views known on health and social care services in the area until this Friday (20 December).
North Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership (NLHSCP) – a collaboration between NHS Lanarkshire and North Lanarkshire Council – is asking local people to share their thoughts on existing services and how these can be further developed.
The feedback, through an online questionnaire, will play an important part in shaping the HSCP’s Strategic Commissioning Plan for 2020 – 2023.
The plan sets out the key priorities for health and social care services in North Lanarkshire over the next three years.
Previous feedback has identified four principles areas where the HSCP is focusing its attention and resources. These are:
- A person centred approach – people are in control of the care they receive and it meets their needs
- Prevention and early intervention – supporting people to manage their own health
- Connecting communities – addressing the needs of each person as well as those around them
- Managing expectations – people are supported to agree individual realistic plans when they need help
Ross McGuffie, chief officer, NLHSCP, said: “It is really important that people tell us what they think of the HSCP services and how we can best develop them.
“Everyone can play a key role in helping us understand how they want to use their health and social care services.
“These answers are vital in helping us to shape services to best meet the needs of people in the area.
“This work is being carried out for your benefit so we really want to hear from you.”
The questionnaire can be accessed here. It will be open until Friday, 20th December. Responses are completely confidential and unidentifiable with the information provided being retained for six months only.
