How to submit a request for assistance
How to refer
- We assess children and young people aged 3 to 18 years old, who have been referred to the service by school, health visitors, allied health professionals (AHPs), or GPs, to provide a profile of their neurodevelopmental presentation.
- For referrals to be accepted by the Neurodevelopmental Service, there must be an impact on function, which must significantly and persistently affect day to day activities at home, school or leisure.
- All children aged under 3 years should be referred to Community Paediatrics in the first instance. If neurodevelopmental concerns persist following paediatric review, the case will be transferred to the Neurodevelopmental Service waiting list at the initial referral date.
