About
We work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the Adult Learning Disability Service
We can see individuals from 16 years of age onwards in the most appropriate place for them e.g. home, leisure facility etc.
Our aim is to enable an individual’s life by maximising their potential and/or maintaining their posture
Our Physiotherapy Service can help with:
- Walking and Mobility issues
- Postural Management Advice
- Recommendation and request for suitable equipment
- Provision of appropriate exercise programmes
- Signpost to health promotion activities @NL Leisure and @SL Leisure
We also run our highly successful Circ8 training classes that aim to;
- Improve and maintain the general health and well-being of adults with a learning disability in Lanarkshire.
- Increase physical activity level of adults with a learning disability in Lanarkshire.
- Provide an appropriate exercise class for adults with a learning disability to attend on a regular basis. This will consist of a structured circuit format.
These classes run at venues throughout Lanarkshire, if interested please contact us for further detail.
