Lanarkshire’s Primary Care Improvement Team have today opened registration for the Scottish Improvement Foundation Skills Programme (SIFS). Cluster Quality Leads, Practice Quality Leads and GP Practice Teams are particularly encouraged to sign up to the 7-week programme that aims to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to participate in improvement and celebrate the changes achieved.
SIFS is a virtual learning programme beginning on Wednesday 23 August, 12.30-2pm and running for 7 weeks. The Primary Care Improvement Team will deliver SIFS via these lunchtime learning sessions on MS Teams. Participants will also spend 90 minutes per week applying the skills delivered in the session to their improvement project.
Veronica Rainey, Associate Medical Director, said:
“This is an excellent opportunity for primary care colleagues to strengthen their quality improvement skills in ways that will benefit their own teams, patients and the wider healthcare system across Lanarkshire. The variety and range of improvement projects that will be discussed and implemented as part of the SIFS programme will allow colleagues to not only implement methods that will benefit their own teams, but also learn from colleagues and remain informed of the key areas of success and challenges across Lanarkshire.”
