Our team in Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) know all about your babies care and we will continue to look after them and you as a family.
Our SCBU here at Wishaw is open plan with room for 8 precious babies.
We are connected to Transitional Care which has 4 rooms where families can be together (when babies are ready).

Your baby will still have some monitoring on but as their condition improves this will reduce. We encourage parents to get involved with their babies’ care; from feeding to changing, bathing and skin to skin.

It will appear that there is less staff here, don’t worry this is normal as your baby improves they require less intensive care. We have a lovely relaxed environment and if you have any questions our staff are on hand to assist.

Our doctors do a ward round every morning just as they do in our main unit- parents are more than welcome for this.

We are located at the top of the main stairs next to ward 24.

It is our pleasure to look after you and your family.
