NHS Lanarkshire is pleased to announce a number of recruitment opportunities that will help support frontline NHS staff dealing with the demands of coronavirus (COVID-19).

There are a wide range of permanent, temporary and staff bank employment opportunities for registered nurses, midwives, allied health professions, health care support workers, support staff and administration staff to work in NHS Lanarkshire to provide valuable help with patient care at this time.

Kay Sandilands, NHS Lanarkshire HR director, said:

“Dealing with coronavirus is a real team effort across NHS Lanarkshire and we are pleased to provide a number of employment opportunities including staff bank. The staff bank provides workforce solutions ‘on demand’ with appropriately skilled workforce to cover temporary shortages within the nursing and midwifery, allied professions, administration and support services.

“On joining the staff bank service, you have the opportunity to work in a variety of hospitals and other healthcare settings within NHS Lanarkshire.

“We are likely to have further opportunities in the coming months and all vacancies will be advertised through our online JobTrain recruitment system.”

The Scottish government has issued guidance on returning to registered professional practice for those who left the professional register within the last three years as a registered nurse, midwife, paramedic, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, diagnostic or therapeutic radiographer, biomedical scientist or as a medical practitioner.
