NHS Lanarkshire has launched a survey to gather feedback from women and families on Community Midwifery, Maternity, Neonatal, Gynaecology and Women’s Health Services.
These views will help shape future services and ensure they meet the needs of those who matter most.
Leah Noble, Interim Director of Midwifery, said: “We recognise that there has been significant media coverage recently about maternity and neonatal services. We want to reassure everyone that NHS Lanarkshire continues to provide safe, high-quality care.
“At the same time, we believe it is vital to listen to women and families to identify any potential areas for improvement. Women’s voices are central to the care we provide. This survey is an opportunity for us to hear directly from those who use our services and make sure their experiences help guide our decisions.”
The survey asks about experiences with Maternity, Neonatal, Gynaecology and Women’s Health Services, including:
- How easy it is to access care
- The quality of communication and support provided
- What worked well and what could be improved
- Suggestions for future service development
Dr Evelyn Ferguson, Obstetrics Clinical Director, said: “We are committed to delivering safe and compassionate care. By gathering feedback, we can ensure our services evolve to meet the needs of women and families.
“Feedback is completely anonymous and the survey will take only a few minutes to complete. Every response will help us understand what matters most to women and families and inform improvements across Lanarkshire.”
Dr Lorraine McGrory, Neonatology Clinical Director, added: “Every family’s experience matters. Your input will help us continue to provide the best possible care for babies and their parents.
“Thank you for taking the time to help us make our services even better.”
The survey is open until midnight on Tuesday 23 December and can be accessed on the NHS Lanarkshire public website or using this link – https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/hMskMLAZPx
Dr Mihai Gherghe, Interim Gynaecology Clinical Director, commented: “Women’s health is about more than providing treatment, it’s about listening, understanding and improving.
“Tell us what matters to you. Your views will help us deliver care that truly meets your needs.”
