With Easter just around the corner, it’s important to prioritise your mental health amidst the festivities.

The season can bring about various stressors including financial strain and social expectations.

Recognising the significance of mental wellbeing during such times, Lanarkshire Mind Matters, an online resource developed by NHS Lanarkshire’s psychological services, stands ready to offer support to residents of Lanarkshire.

Dr Simon Stuart, Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Digital Lead for Psychological Services, emphasises the importance of looking after our mental health during the holidays, stating: “Lanarkshire Mind Matters has high-quality online mental health resources and support that can make a positive impact on your wellbeing.

“Lanarkshire Mind Matters serves as a comprehensive hub for individuals seeking mental health support. The website offers a range of evidence-based programs including computerized cognitive behavioral therapy (cCBT).”

For those grappling with anxiety and insomnia, the platform provides online programs such as “Daylight” and “Sleepio” designed to offer expert assistance.

Dr Stuart added: “Daylight provides a tailored program for managing anxiety, based on your own needs, and keeps you on track with bite-size suggestions and check-ins.

“Sleepio offers a personalized program to help overcome insomnia. Produced by an expert team with decades of experience in sleep research, it brings tried-and-tested techniques directly to you in a friendly, step-by-step way.

“Both programs are available for self-referral through the Lanarkshire Mind Matters website, offering accessible support to individuals seeking to improve their mental health.”
