We are excited to invite you to Staff Health & Wellbeing Week, taking place from Monday 22 June – Friday 26 June.

We understand the demands on everyone’s time, but we encourage you to support yourself, your colleagues, and your team by participating in one or more sessions or accessing the resources shared throughout the week. Even a small investment in your wellbeing can make a big difference.

Monday 22 June

Knowledge Services – Acute sites

The wellbeing areas in the acute libraries provide a perfect space for relaxation, reflection, and a mental break from work or study. These are informal areas with comfortable seating and low lighting. The areas will be promoting their wellbeing collection of books as well as activities throughout the week that staff can use to further support their health and wellbeing. When alcohol shows up in a work context—whether through drinking at events, coming in hungover, or dealing with alcohol related struggles—it can have real consequences for both people and the organisation. The NHS Lanarkshire Equality and Diversity team, together with colleagues from Learning and Organisational Development, and our Trade Unions, will be shining a spotlight on staff voice and lived experience. We’ll be showcasing the wide range of workplace supports available through our employee networks — Ethnic Minority, Disability and Wellbeing, and LGBT+ — and championing positive, inclusive workplace cultures. This includes raising awareness of the Reporting A Discriminatory Incident (RADI) system, NHS Lanarkshire values and culture, and highlighting the many ways our Trade Unions provide guidance and support to staff.

This session aims to build the capacity of staff within NHS Lanarkshire and the health and social care partnerships, to confidently raise the issue of money worries with their patients or staff.

It also aims to increase awareness of, and access to, referral pathways and related supports and advice that are available locally to help people to maximise their income and reduce the impacts of the cost of living.

Understanding Mental Health Stigma Workshop – 10:00-12:30
