Financial Sustainability Programme

ABOUT
NHS Lanarkshire is launching an organisational drive to “Achieve Excellence Through Quality and Efficiency” – and we need your help.
All staff and members of the public are being asked to consider where they can make a difference and share their amazing ideas, however big or small, by completing the form below.
Your ideas are vital to ensuring sustainable future-proof health services in Lanarkshire that continue to deliver high quality care.
Let us know if you if you think we can cut out waste, do things more efficiently, or be more sustainable in a way that protects our health services, and our planet.
Share your insights using our form below or email staffideas@lanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk – they can be as down to earth or as creative as you like. All ideas will be reviewed with feedback to the proposer and viable suggestions put into practice.
The staff and public ideas scheme is being set up as part of NHS Lanarkshire’s Financial Sustainability Programme, Achieving Excellence through Quality & Efficiency.
NHS Lanarkshire has managed its finances well over some difficult times. In 2020/21, NHS Lanarkshire will seek to make efficiency savings of between £31m and £44m to reach financial balance.
Our programme of work including your ideas is our way of ensuring NHS Lanarkshire can make changes that will result in improvements.
We are well placed to face future challenges. But we need to prepare for the fact that we will face a larger gap between the increase in our allocation from the Scottish Government and rising cost pressures.
We need a new approach if we are to continue to maintain financial sustainability.
A project management office has been set up to work alongside staff and provide leadership and specialist knowledge to the programme of work.
