Weight managementÂ
If you have diabetes, you may find your blood glucose levels are easier to manage and you may require less diabetes medication after you lose weight.
Many people who lose weight also notice that they have more energy and the quality of their sleep is also better.

What causes obesity?
Obesity is a complex condition influenced by many factors. These include your diet and how active you are, genetics or ‘your DNA’, other diseases or medical conditions, certain medications can cause you to gain weight, your mental health and sleep patterns, poverty or your environment.
In most cases it will be a combination of a number of these factors and is not simply caused by eating too much and not exercising enough.
