Annual Review of NHS Lanarkshire 2023/24
Members of the public were invited to attend NHS Lanarkshire’s annual review on Monday 4 November 2024 to hear about a range of developments to improve health services locally.
The review took place in the Medical Education & Training Centre, Kirklands Hospital. Members of the public attended the public session of the review either in person or online via MS Teams.Â
This was an opportunity for members of the public to find out more about the Health Board’s key achievements during 2023/24, and also to hear about more current topics and issues, including key projects such as the FNC+, Monklands Replacement Project and Rapid Cancer Diagnostic Service.

The NHS Lanarkshire Annual Report and Financial Accounts for the year 2023/24 provides a comprehensive insight into the progress we’ve achieved, the challenges we’ve encountered, and the strategies we’ve implemented to uphold our mission and bring our vision to life.
Annual Report 2023-2024: a year in review
Over the past year, NHS Lanarkshire has made significant strides in improving healthcare services and sustainability through initiatives like Operation FLOW, expanding the Flow Navigation Centre, and upgrading the Emergency Department at University Hospital Wishaw. The Our Health Together strategy aligns with Scotland’s NHS reform goals for 2024-25. NHS Lanarkshire also marked the NHS’s 75th anniversary, progressed the Monklands Replacement Project, and launched new services like the Cancer Support Service and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Centre, all while focusing on collaboration and innovation.
