Everyday Professionalism in Care (EPiC)

Full-day exploring how we can be effective professionals in an ever-changing volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world

Topics include:

  • Reflective practice

Suitable for: Senior Carers, Senior Support Workers, Registered Nurses

Delivery method: Face-to-face (Venue varies)

Future Care Planning Conversations Workshop

Half-day workshop using Interactive Rehearsal to develop health and social care staff’s skills and confidence in having future care planning conversations.

Suitable for: Registered Nurses / Senior Care Assistants who have a responsibility for starting, recording and sharing future care planning conversations.

Two-hour session providing care home staff with a general understanding of the Future Care Planning process.

Recognising the Deteriorating Patient

Half-day study day covering essential knowledge for staff to recognise and communicate deterioration in service users.

Topics include:

  • Soft signs of deterioration,
  • Clinical Observation interpretation,
  • Future Planning considerations
  • SBAR

Suitable for: Senior Carers, Senior Support Workers, Registered Nurses

Male Catheterisation

2.5 hour session. This session provides the theoretical and practical components of NHS Lanarkshire’s programme on male catheterisation. Further supervised practice in the clinical workplace is required following attendance.

Phlebotomy

2.5 hour session. This session provides the theoretical and practical components of NHS Lanarkshire’s programme on Phlebotomy. Further supervised practice in the clinical workplace is required following attendance.
