About Us
The Neurodevelopmental Service is a team of people who provide assessment and diagnostic support to children and young people who live in Lanarkshire. Our service specialises in the assessment of children and young people with neurodevelopmental presentations.
What are Neurodevelopmental Presentations?
“Neurodevelopmental presentation” is an umbrella term describing how a child’s brain has developed and the influence of this on how they manage in day to day life. Some Neurodevelopmental presentations you may have heard of are Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Foetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorder (FASD) and Intellectual Disability (ID). Neurodevelopmental presentations can also include tic disorders and coordination disorders.
