Care Home Liaison Service

ABOUT
The Care Home Liaison Service provides training and support to all care homes in Lanarkshire.
The service provides liaison and education for nursing and care staff employed within care homes. It works with care homes for older people across Lanarkshire and has been in existence since 2001.
Its work can range from supporting individual needs to providing large study sessions. Some of the topics covered include falls prevention, palliative care, care of residents with diabetes and care of feeding tubes.
The service often works alongside specialist services available in NHS Lanarkshire such as diabetes nurse specialists and the St Andrew’s Hospice.
The service provides an important link between the NHS and care homes – including those which are local authority run, private and voluntary.
