People in Lanarkshire are being encouraged to join a national conversation focusing on their health and care experiences during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The respective Health and Social Care Partnerships of South and North Lanarkshire are supporting a nationwide engagement exercise to ensure lived experience and the perspectives of all people who access support and services are heard.
Led by The ALLIANCE, in partnership with Healthcare Improvement Scotland – Community Engagement, key engagement themes also include accessing health and care support and services as partnerships respond to – and look beyond – Covid-19.
Submissions and comments will feed in to a final report of recommendations for The Scottish Government.
There’s still time to get involved in the conversation:
- You can complete an online survey to share your views https://bit.ly/2ItvTRn
- Alternatively, you can fill in a Word document https://bit.ly/34xWe8j (there is an Easy Read version of the questions too) and email to people@alliance-scotland.org.uk
The deadline for local responses is Monday, 9 November, 2020.
Val de Souza, Chief Officer of South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership, said: “The challenges of the Covid pandemic has and continues to change the way in which health and care services are delivered. What’s unchanged – and what’s perhaps even more important – is our continuing dialogue with communities. Indeed, this national conversation reflects that local ethos. I would strongly encourage people to take part and have their say.”
Ross McGuffie, Chief Officer of Health and Social Care North Lanarkshire echoed that sentiment. He added: “The importance of gathering lived experience from people who have accessed health and care services can’t be underestimated. We whole heartedly support this conversation and would urge people in North Lanarkshire to participate.”
