Community Prescribing Service (Addictions)
The Community Prescribing Service (Addictions) will be providing treatment and support for patients with opioid dependency issues, through a mixture of face to face and telephone consultations
The department has provided a service throughout COVID-19, but have been unable to have the face to face element.
They are currently aiming to secure clinical rooms and space to return to face to face clinical sessions. Once these are agreed and approved the service will resume face to face consultations.
The overall service will be similar to previous, but there may be longer periods between appointments but increased use of the telephone or virtual communication methods.
The public should contact locality addiction teams at the 10 locations through NHS Lanarkshire.
