The Occupational Therapy Hand therapy service has been re-established for the routine assessment and treatment of acute hand injuries/ conditions.

Urgent cases have been on-going over the COVID period.

Where possible, the service will offer Near Me appointments to patients. Should a patient require a face to face appointment (i.e. for wound management/splinting) they will be invited to attend the main hand therapy clinic within the Occupational Therapy service at University Hospital Monklands. The service has reduced its treatment bays from three to two to allow for physical distancing and strict adherence to infection control precautions as a result of the COVID pandemic.

Patients are requested not to attend any earlier than their appointment time and alone if possible.
