Adult Learning DisabilityThe Adult Learning Disability Speech and Language Therapy (ALD SLT) team will continue to provide a direct service to clients who:
- meet our urgent communication referral criteria (presenting with high risk communication support needs) and/or
- routine/urgent eating, drinking and swallowing referral criteria.
Remote consultations (Near Me video calls/phone calls) will continue to be the delivery model preference where possible.
High risk clients with communication/swallowing needs that cannot be managed remotely will be offered home visits and community based visits as appropriate to their needs.
