About Us
The Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Service in Lanarkshire aims to encourage and empower people who are living with and are affected by MS. You will be provided with:
- Support and advice
- Information and education for patients, families and carers on how to manage this condition
- A co-ordinated approach to person centred care within the multi-disciplinary team
- Treatment monitoring
- Appointments in outpatient settings in hospitals or community settings or within your home if you are housebound
The team consists of specialist nurses and a clinical support worker who work closely with Consultant Neurologists, GPs, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Social Work and Third Party Agencies. They are based at Hunter Health Centre in East Kilbride.
