You have the opportunity to take part in research into seasonal illness affecting staff.

The SIREN+ study involves a large group of healthcare workers and has helped answer important questions about respiratory viruses and has guided national policy.

Cat Simpson, Senior Clinical Research Nurse at University Hospital Monklands, said: “Every winter, seasonal respiratory illnesses put extra pressure on NHS services and staff.

“We need your help to understand the real impact on our workforce and find better ways to protect both staff wellbeing and patient care. Your participation will help us identify patterns and provide insights that may support the development of strategies to keep staff healthy and services running smoothly during peak illness periods.

“All of our staff can take part. This includes staff working in both clinical and non-clinical roles such as nurses, doctors, other healthcare professionals and support staff.

“We’ll ask you to complete fortnightly online surveys during the winter season. All responses are confidential.

“Please take part and make a difference.”
